Senioritis and Covid-19

Man oh man if I knew what to expect entering into my final year of high school I would’ve dropped out my freshman year. I’m joking of course, but I think I can say I’m not the only one when it comes to going crazy during this pandemic. Whether it’s school, work, relationships, or whatever else, people are slowly turning insane. I want to be free and walk into stores without a mask. I wanted to plan trips to the waterpark and other places this summer. I want to be in school, which is crazy to say and learn in actual classrooms. I was excited about all of the Homecoming activities, finally going to a football game, ending my tennis season successfully, and enjoying my last year playing high school soccer. Two of my classmates passed away in a car accident a few weeks ago as well. And now I’m stuck at home staring at screens all day and stressing about how to deal with the college application stuff. And don’t get me started with this upcoming election in November. 2020 has been one of the top 3 worst years in my seventeen years of life. I really hope 2021 brings back the normal way we used to live. I wish I could go back to the 2000s. The much simpler times. All we can do is pray, and if you’re not religious then hope for the best. I hope everyone is doing well and just know we can get through this together.
